This convenient refill kit is ideal for replacing depleted materials, rebuilding an older terrarium, expanding an existing display, or keeping extra terrarium supplies available for your next project.

PLEASE NOTE

This is a substrate and building-material refill kit. Fresh live moss, plants, a glass container, and a spray bottle are not included.

If you need fresh live moss, Forest Floor Foraging offers many different live moss varieties, assorted moss packs, and specialty moss products separately in our Etsy shop. This allows you to choose the moss type and amount that best fits your terrarium.

WHAT YOUR REFRESH KIT INCLUDES

• River stones for the drainage layer

• Organic biochar for absorption and odor control

• Sphagnum moss for moisture retention and layer separation

• Terrarium soil for the primary growing layer

• Dried leaves and miniature pinecones for a natural woodland finish

• Terrarium assembly, refresh, and care instructions

The sphagnum moss included in this kit is a substrate material. It is not fresh living decorative moss.

CHOOSE FROM THREE REFILL SIZES

• SMALL

A convenient refill for a small terrarium or for replenishing individual layers in an existing display. This is the amount represented by the Small option in the listing photographs.

• MEDIUM

The Medium Refresh Kit includes approximately twice the materials provided with the Small option.

This size is suitable for refreshing a medium terrarium, rebuilding a more substantial display, or dividing the materials among multiple smaller projects.

• LARGE

The Large Refresh Kit includes approximately three times the materials provided with the Small option. This size is ideal for a large terrarium, several smaller terrariums, or anyone who wants additional materials available for future projects.

HOW TO ORDER

Select your preferred refill size from the variation menu:

All sizes contain the same five primary materials. The quantity of each material increases with the selected kit size.

WHEN SHOULD I REFRESH MY TERRARIUM?

A refresh may be helpful when:

• The soil has become compacted or depleted

• The drainage layers need to be replaced

• You are moving an existing terrarium into another container

• You want to redesign or expand your miniature landscape

• An older terrarium needs to be completely rebuilt

• You need additional soil, stones, biochar, or sphagnum moss

• You want extra materials for future terrarium projects

Fresh live moss, ForestForm™, terrarium plants, moss-covered stones, bark, and other woodland materials may be purchased separately from Forest Floor Foraging.
